I was  quite sure this was an adult female bird, probably in the Blackbird family, but probably not a female Red-Winged Blackbird.

But John Schwarz, my new found bird ID guru, assured me that it is in fact a female Red-winged Blackbird. Thanks, John.

Charles Weber also thinks it's a female Red-Winged Blackbird and that she is a local, non migrating bird, which explains the non classical markings. Thanks, Charles.
