An immature Red-Shouldered Hawk, shot at too great a distance.

I shot this at 300mm. What I really needed was 600mm to 800mm. So I had to really crop hard.

As an experiment, I'm going to try a 3x teleconvertor on my 300mm F2.8 lens. This will give me 900mm! I'm not optimistic about the image quality. But I'm open to being  pleasantly surprised.
