My thanks to the many skiers at Ski Rixen who provide me with good practice shooting moving subjects and good fun seeing people having such a wonderful time.
Q & As Where is my picture? Pictures are normally posted two days after they are taken, usually by 8 PM. May I make copies of the pictures? The pictures on this site are published for your pleasure. You may copy them for your personal use e.g. make prints, email them to your friends, use them on your personal web site etc. However, you may not sell these pictures or otherwise use them for your financial gain without my written permission unless the picture is of you. How can I copy the pictures? The pictures can be easily copied by right clicking on the image and selecting "Save Picture As ... " or "Email Picture ...". But don't do this on the thumbnail sized images as they are too small. Instead, left click on the thumbnail to get the slideshow sized picture and copy/email this version of the picture. Can you send me a larger copy of my picture? Yes. Email me a copy of the picture of you or the link to the picture and I will email you copies of all larger versions of you. Or tell me the day and location of the first picture of you on the page e.g. Row 7, 2nd picture. Email Note: I answer all my email the same day I get it. So if you don't hear back from me in a day or two, assume I did not get your email and please ask again. When are you coming back? I like to shoot at Ski Rixen on Saturdays when there are lots of skiers and in the afternoon from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm when the sun is at my back. What are you looking for? Do what you want and don't worry about pleasing me ... it's your time to have fun doing what you want to do. But FYI, what I like are big wakes, up close. So feel free to head right at me and try to splash me. But if you do, don't kill yourself on the shore line, there are some nasty rocks there. And smile ... not at me or for me, but because you are happy, with your friends, and having fun. Where is Ski Rixen? 401 South Powerline Rd., south of Hillsboro Blvd. • Deerfield Beach • (954) 429-0215 • Park admission is free on weekdays and $1.00 per person on weekends. What lens do you recommend? A fast focusing telephoto zoom lens. I use my Nikon 70-200mm F2.8 lens which seems to be a good fit for this site. And I normally shoot in Aperture Priority mode at F4 and ISO 200 with VR turned off. |
